Yes, we are to love our neighbor as ourselves ...but that is supposed to be a friendship and concern we have for all.

That is a different kind of relationship ...and it should not be intertwined with, nor compete with our relationship with God, which also enters into a bond with Him in marriage.

The first of the Ten Commandment says we are not to have any others gods before Him ...and I think we are to look to that special bond we profess to include Him in, and also partially addressed in the seventh Commandment ...concluding to have no other spouses either.

No matter how irreconcilable I feel a circumstance may be ...I'm sure I've had moments way worse that God could have decided not to reconcile me.

Yes, there are situations where there is abuse ...and those things should not be ignored, and the authorities should be involved to rightly deal with it.  But, let's be honest, the majority of cases where we feel we can no longer honor the "til death do us part" are cases where we lose focus on His death, and our promise of life ...which we professed to endure together, until He brings us to the everlasting stage of life with Him.
